VIP style is something that has really caught my eye for some time. There are all sorts of modifications under the category of ‘VIP Style,’ from the horrendously ugly to the smooth and luxurious modifications that really take the car to a whole new level.

VIP Style refers to modifying luxurious Japanese cars in order to make them more fashionable and more luxurious. They are commonly known for their large, low offset rims, smooth body kits and lips, incredibly low ride heights (normally achieved with air suspension) and large exhausts (something which is gradually fading with time). Normally VIP cars will be painted either black, white or grey. The image below shows the typical VIP stance

This style was mainly applied to Nissans and Toyotas in the past, but now the range has extended to encompass Honda, Lexus and Infinity. VIP style is also being applied to European luxury cars however the effect isn’t the same as on the Japanese cars. Something about the JDM cars just makes them perfect for this style of tuning.

Going into the history of VIP we see it being mainly associated with the Yakuza. Gangsters who rode around in high quality European luxury cars attracted too much attention from the police so by using JDM cars and modifying them to a new level they rode around in extreme luxury without attracting the level of unwanted attention.
Junction Produce was one of the tuning firms to spread VIP Style across the World. Personally they are the company that stock my favourite parts for the Lexus LS460:
