J’s and Tamon Design enter the s2000 widebody game …
Two new widebody kits for the Honda released at the Tokyo Auto Salon - for now just the images, I will go into more detail about the kits and my views on them once the rest of the show coverage is in.
First is the J’s Racing widebody:

Tamon Design widebody kit:

It would be great to hear the viewers comments on these two kits before I post my own views

Hi
I havent post in your blog yet, but now I start it
I like both kit, look different than the current kits for s2000
my favourite part on the yellow one is the front arch whit those side wents..
I like the green’s whole widebody, and these new shapes. Only the hood what I would change on it.
btw s2000 is a good base for tuning, so its easy to do nice kits for it
I hope that once you will have your own s2000 kit which need to be designed
Hello
I like both kits.
J’s kit is the best looking in my opinion. You could drive it on a JGTC grid when it would have a rear spoiler and some decals.
With the Tamon Design kit I like the small spoiler with brake light. I would fit this on my own S. And the rear bumper/difuser from the Tamon looks good. I don’t like the bonnet the wheels.
The J’s kit seems very aggressive, more suited to a race track.
The Tamon I like parts of it but dislike other parts.
Neither of the kits are nice enough to own.
Both kits are ok but neither is so special so as to set them above the already existing kits.
It seems like the general consensus is that the J’s Racing kit is more suited to track use, which is something I am very much in agreement with.
The rear duckbill spoiler with the brake light slit of the Tamon Design kit has been very popular, with many people already enquiring as to price and availability. Whilst I don’t mind the wheels the hood is something that I really do not like at all.
I will talk about these kits further in an upcoming blog post this week. FOr now keep the opinions coming in, it is always interesting to hear other points of view.
I’d take the J’s kit with the Tamon rear bumper. My opinion is the only let down on the J’s one is the rear bumper. Combination of black and white with black ce28’s (time attack with red lip) and I’m happy lol
Too wide for what you want it - would be perfect as a track only car though. You willing to leave your s2000 as a track car?
I am not a fan of the fact that the yellow kit looks like 2 diff kits put together then call it your own with a few tweaks here and there but what the heck, whatever looks good right? I went gaga over the green kit minus the hood although i guess it fits the concept. Any idea or a ballpark figure on the cost of this Tamon Design kit? I am really digging it with those wheels.
I agree with you on the J’s kit, that was exactly my opinion when I first saw it. I was actually slightly disappointed as I rate J’s very highly and was expecting more from them, however they did make it their own and it would looks great at the track.
With the Tamon Design kit there are parts that I really like but also parts I really dislike so it got mixed feelings from me. With regards to cost I am waiting to be given a price, which I will post up when I get it, but my expectation is it will be quite expensive, probably around $8k.
