First glimpses of the UK only spec Mitsubishi Evo X FQ-400 have started being released.
For those who don’t know the FQ-400 stands for 400bhp. This Evo comes substantially modified from factory, with a free flowing exhaust system, tuned ECU and most likely a bigger turbo, to achieve the higher output figures on the stock 2l 4B11 block. Total power is expected to be in the range of 405bhp with torque at around 400 ft-lbs. This gives very impressive performance figures with the Evo IV FQ-400 hitting 60mph in just 3.5 seconds. Some may remember the Top Gear episode where the car kept up with a Lamborghini Murcielago around a track but was beaten by a Fiat Stilo (I believe) with a 6th gear start due to the turbo lag.

Not only does the car carry substantial engine work but it also carries a variety of body modifications.
The heavily vented front bumper includes a carbon fiber front lip:

The rear includes a carbon fiber rear diffuser with a centre exit exhaust:

All this as well as sitting on 18″ racing wheels and Alcon breaks. Nothing is released as to the suspension setup as of yet but it is likely to be changed from the stock setup.
Now please release some higher resolution pics!

Love it, but it needs a drop. And I’d probably pick a different set of wheels.
The base Evo’s are known to be able to hold some pretty good power with a stock block. And they do well with slight modifications.
