There have been various limited edition Bugatti Veyrons at the Geneva Auto Show. Bugatti took their special edition ‘Centenaire’, whilst German tuner Mansory shockingly stole the show with their own ‘Linea Vincero.’
The stature of the Veyron in the world of cars is perfectly clear - it is one of the best super-cars ever produced, and could be said to currently define the word itself. Although no longer holding the record for ‘the fastest car in the world’ (Currently held by the SSC Ultimate at 255.83 mph [may have a new contender below]) it is still a very special feat of engineering, with its 8l W16 engine pumping out a whopping 1001 bhp and 923 lb-ft torque, hitting 60mph in 2.5 seconds and going on to a top speed of 253mph.

The Mansory Linea Vincero is not all about the looks, with its gorgeous carbon fiber body work. Both the exhaust and the cooling system were upgraded, increasing the power to 1109 bhp and 967 lb-ft torque. No performance figures have been released but we expect a slight improvement over the stock figures (with a huge hike in the price). Overall only 3 Linea Vinceros will be produced so you will have a hard time getting hold of one even if you have the money lying around to afford it.

I absolutely love the interior, but as with all things white try keeping that baby clean!

The ‘centenaire,’ taken to the show by Bugatti themselves to celebrate their 100th birthday, wears a unique matte / glossy blue paint, making it stand out from just about any other car out there. Whilst I am not a fan of the colour on a car like this I am loving the numbers. Bugatti have upgraded it to a massive 1350 bhp and 1017 lb-ft torque, giving a 0-60mph time of 2.4 seconds and an estimated top speed of 270mph (a figure which if correct could reinstate the Veyron as the ‘fastest production car in the world’). Whilst people are always interested in speed figures these are shockingly not the most impressive figures this car can produce; the braking is. The car will stop from 62mph in 2.2 seconds, 0.5 seconds faster than the stock car and a whole 1.3s faster than the Pagani Zonda F!

I know this blog seems to be getting more and more selective, focusing on cars that are less readily available rather than high peformance cars and modifications more readily available. Whilst these limited editions are special cars, I am going to make an effort to bring the blog back down to reality with the next few posts, and have some nice cars planned!
