A saturday post to make up for all the days I didn’t post last week.
If you remember the chromed out SLR I posted a while back, well this is supposed to be version II of the same car. As usual you would only expect a car like this to come from Dubai. I think it is a complete waste of time and money. It is something that people have been doing more and more recently and it is just a big shame that no one has been inventive enough to take the ‘gold look’ to a new level. When working with an SLR you have use common sense, exploit the positives and retouch the few (and I mean very few) negative aspects of the car. Gold plating the entire car is just a monstrosity in my eyes - to each his own I guess.
I have no idea what has happened to the tuning industry with the SLR! You may remember back to my posts on the Hamman and Mansory SLR. It began there, then moved to the chromed SLR, now a gold SLR and next week will come the latest in the ‘destruction of the SLR.’
