Geiger Bi-Turbo Corvette Z06

Geiger are well known for modifying Corvettes with a European flair. Karl Geiger painted the z06 a distinctive lime green to make it stand out from the crowd, and it certainly does just that! The car features their distinctive GT-Kit, which gives mixed impressions. On the one hand from the front and back it gives the car a more European feel, removing some of it’s brutality. On the other hand the hood is incredibly aggressive, offsetting that smoothness. Overall I like it, except for the hood which displeases me and the rear lights which I think look terrible.

The engine gets a substantial amount of work. In short the engine is bored out to 7.6 litres, two high performance turbochargers are bolted on and a new exhaust is added to increase exhaust flow. In more detail Geiger modify the engine block, cylinder heads, crank, sports cams, intake system, amplified springs and titanium spring cups - all very impressive when considering they are adding to the already impressive Z06. The performance, well as you might expect a mindblowing 890hp and 940Nm torque, hitting a top speed of 354km/h (220mph)! Having done the engine modifications Geiger also worked on the transmission, including a twin disk carbon clutch and carbon drive shaft.

The wheels carry massive 285/30 front and 345/25 rear tires, which still struggle to put all that power down on the road. With the power comes the brakes; huge 380mm 6 piston brakes in the front and 355mm 4 piston in the rear.

Overall it’s a pretty special car.

Reminds me of the Callaway SledgeHammer, I wonder if it has the amazingly awful lag the callaway did at low rpm. if the price is still below $110k Dollars Then its a great bang for the buck. A cheap supercar.
